dc.description.abstractAntud töö kirjeldab, mis on intervallaritmeetika ning miks seda vaja on. Töö praktilises osas jälgime LU-faktoriseerimise algoritmi käitumist intervallaritmeetika abil. Teiseks tutvustame ühte intervallaritmeetika laiendust nimega afiinne aritmeetika, mis likvideerib mõningad intervallaritmeetika puudused.
dc.description.abstractThis thesis will give an overview of interval aritmetics and why it is important. The thesis practical part observes performance of LU decomopsition algorithm through interval aritmetics. Last section gives an overview of affine arithmetics which is extension of interval arithmetics and is often able to give more accurate results.
