Recent changes (January 2013):

An improved control program SIGMA1A2 was introduced August 2012, see Updates for SIGMA No.1, version 20120831. Corresponding comment is included also into the explanation of the standard output data.

January 2011 some minor improvements were included into programs SIGMA1P amd SIGMA1D. SIGMA1P now enables to avoid automatic filling of single gaps in data series and a special regime allows to change output variable 61. Corresponding changes are made in the new versions of the manuals. Additionally, a package of software is available for download.

Dear Colleague,

This website presents introductory information about the
Symmetric Inclined Grid Mobility Analyzer SIGMA,
which is a successor of scanning mobility analyzers
IGMA (Inclined Grid Mobility Analyzer, Tammet, 2003) and
BSMA (Balanced Scanning Mobility Analyzer, Tammet, 2006).
SIGMA is designed having in view applications in
atmospheric aerosol research in the size range of
0.4-7.5 nm and the mobility range of 0.032-3.2 cm2V-1s-1.
