The present glossary is the study material for the course of English syntax. It introduces the main notions used in the course and allows students to check their knowledge of the terms using the practice tests. Working with the glossary is to take 4 hours approximately, considering both getting acquainted with the terminology and doing practice tests. The glossary will help a student:
- to learn the basic terminology in the course of English syntax
- to differentiate between different types of sentences and different parts of the sentence
- to check the knowledge of the terminology through examples in the practice tests
- to learn about punctuation marks and see them used in the examples
- to practice identifying punctuation marks and their use.
