The aim of the bachelor thesis „Psychological online-counceling practices on the example of Lahendus.net“ was to explore the reason why is online-counceling preferred to traditional counceling, who are the users of e-counceling, who is e-councelor in the example of the Lahendus.net, which are the additional opportunities and how effective it is in Lahendus.net councelors point of view. The method of research was informant-interview. Eleven Lahendus.net councelors were interviewed and the transcriptions were analysed using cross-case method of textual analysis. Interviews are conducted either via Skype or by meeting in real life winter/spring 2010. The study found that all councelors working in Lahendus.net have studied or study psychology. Also, all applicants are not accepted to start work in Lahendus.net programme. Before starting counceling work in researched page, councelors took part from info-hour where they will be introduced the main specifics of the work, later there will be many lectures conducted by Lahendus.net portal. Also, self educating is being marked important from councelors. As new opportunities councelors suggested using Skype internet telephone as immediate contact with clients and inviting councelors from similar project to visit and share the experience. Councelors empasized importance of supervisions and many councelors regard work in Lahendus.net special beacause of the feedback gained from supervisior. The main problem area, where councelors advice is being asked, was relationship problems. The main reason why e-counceling is preffered on traditional was convenience, simplicity and accesibility related to internet. This was also the reason why online-counceling was seen more characteristic to young people. Not less important was anonymity which gives opportunity talk about problems without revealing any identifying characteristics. Councelors mentioned as additional opportuinites of Lahendus.net many informative, counceling and amusing chances but there was opinion that all of these need follow up and bring up to date for what councelors do not have time beacause of the problems with funding. Additional opportuinities were seen important for clients but also for councelors themselves. Also were mentioned as a important opportunity the councelors e-mailing list from where councelor may find better counceling opportuinities for the client if Lahendus.net is not propriate or traditional counceling is preferred.
