Abstract
The study focuses on the prevalence and associated background factors of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia in infants aged 9-12 months. In this study we also found the reference values and optimal cut-off values for serum ferritin, soluble transferrin retceptors, mean red cell volume and for haemoglobin for the same age group of children.
Käesolev uurimus keskendub rauapuuduse ja rauapuudusaneemia levimuse ning põhjuste uurimisele 9-12 kuu vanustel imikutel. Lisaks tutvustab uurimus referentsvahemikke ja rauapuuduse diagnostilisi väärtuseid seerumi ferritiinile, erütrotsüütide keskmisele mahu-le, seerumis lahustuvatele transferriini retseptoritele ja hemoglobiinile sama vanusrühma lastele.
