Abstract
This BA thesis looks at the language used during football matches by the
commentators in English and Estonian. The paper was written out of personal interest in
football and wish to study and explain sports commentaries. The aim of this BA thesis is to
compare the language usage of football commentaries and find out if there are any
differences or similarities in English and Estonian.
