This paper studies the attitudes different countries from the European Union have towards environmental issues. The countries addressed are the Netherlands, Italy, Estonia and Bulgaria, out of which the first two joined the European Union in it’s earlier days and the latter two more recently. To understand the attitudes towards environmental and climate issues, each states’ individual environmental actions are studied in addition to research about their Representatives votes in the European Parliament. As a result, it is safe to say all countries mentioned in this paper work towards improving the environment and climate problems, although facing different obstacles.
