Synthetic methods for obtaining of vinylated compounds were obtained from the literature and tested on isosorbide. During this research monovinyl isosorbide was synthesized. Further, different polymerization methods we investigated and the new polymer (oligomer) was synthesized. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of methods for isosorbide vinylation and polymerization were analyzed. The next goals and prospects were defined. Consequently, new isosorbide based polymer was synthesized, that can replace fossil based polymers in the future.engopenAccessAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Estoniaisosorbidepolymerizationvinylationbiobased polymersbiopäritolu polümeeridisosorbiidbakalaureusetöödSynthesis of monovinyl isosorbide and its polymerizationThesis
