A qualitative approach was used, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using content analysis. The results showed that motivation is shaped by age, competing interests, peer influence, and performance opportunities. Key supporting factors include engaging repertoire, a positive learning environment, and the teacher’s role. Support from parents and school leadership was also important. The findings suggest that maintaining motivation requires a multi-level approach combining pedagogical, social, and external factors. The study provides practical guidelines for choir conductors and contributes to a better understanding of the development and maintenance of young singers’ motivationetAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Estoniahttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/ee/koorijuhtiminelastekooridkoorilaulminemotivatsioonteine kooliastekolmas kooliastemagistritöödKoorijuhtide meetodid õpilaste motivatsiooni hoidmiseks II ja III kooliastme koolikooridesThesis
