Organizations interested in an efficient performance constantly look for improvement opportunities in their processes. While there might be various improvement opportunities in the business process, it is not always possible to detect them based on the best practices, previous experience, or assumptions. This research aims at collecting and structuring existing knowledge about business process improvement opportunities. The research is per-formed by the means of systematic literature review and focuses to discover how improvement opportunities can be identified in the business process and how the process can be improved.
