This thesis examines how framing is reshaped in the translation and editorial processing of international news across Estonian- and Russian-language versions of articles originating from Reuters and Bloomberg, focusing on coverage of Russia's war in Ukraine. The theoretical framework covers key concepts in news translation alongside framing theory and agenda-setting. The methodology presents a qualitative corpus study of seven article sets published by Delfi, analysed using Entman's (1993) framing model and Baker's (2006) concept of selective appropriation, the latter extended in line with Schäffner (2012), Bielsa and Bassnett (2009) and Kamyanets (2022). The analysis identifies systematic patterns of framing simplification across both language groups, with notable differences in how Estonian and Russian versions adapt the source material. The conclusion synthesises the findings in response to the four research questions. Keywords: news translation, framing, selective appropriation, indirect translation, bilingual media
