    This bachelor's thesis investigated the opportunities and restrictions of developing mixed reality applications based on the Meta Quest 3 device. To identify the opportunities and restrictions, Meta sample projects involving the Passthrough camera and effects created during the research were used. The camera access discussed in the thesis is divided into two methods - Passthrough API and Passthrough Camera API. For both methods, sample projects were studied and samples were created by the author. The possibilities for using the Passthrough API and the limited and one-type functionality provided by developers were analyzed. Also the potential uses for the Passthrough Camera API and the limitations that may interfere with users' immersion in mixed reality were studied.
