    The aim of the MA thesis is to analyse the designing of an ESP course and to design sample units for the joiners of the Tartu Vocational Education Centre. The present research project is vital as there is a need for study materials for joiners. Students learn vocational language alongside general English. The vocational English language is also called English for Specific Purposes or English for Special Purposes (ESP). The thesis has the following objectives: • To provide a short introduction to “English for specific purposes – ESP” • Research how to design a course of English for specific purposes; • To create sample teaching materials for ESP classes in Tartu Vocational Education Centre.
