dc.description.abstract | This paper explores the relationship between cryptology and redaction. Redaction can be a frustration to historical cryptology research. Examples of redactions of historical papers relevant to cryptology are presented. It is concluded that the practice of redaction is often ineffective and the policy rationale behind redactions difficult to understand. | |
