Before creating the application, the author familiarized themselves with existing solutions. Various frameworks were used for creating the web application, with PostgreSQL as the database management system. The developed web application provides visitors with a response and description of the suitability of the drugs. The web application and results are in Estonian, serving as the only public alternative to similar applications, which are meant for clinical institutions and are accessible only by medical personnel. The thesis analyzes the results of the second round of the Bebras Challenge, which took place in the online environment from March 1st to 12th, 2021. The aim of the thesis is to explore the relationship between the results and the age, gender, time of day of solving, and time spent on solving by the participants. The analysis revealed that as students' age increased, boys' results compared to girls' progressively improved. From the junior age group (9th–10th grade) onwards, the difference in results between boys and girls was statistically significant. One way to teach this to children is through the Bebras challenge. This paper provides an overview of computational thinking and the Bebras challenge contest. Additionally, statistical tests were used to analyze the results of the first round of the 2022 first round benjamin category to examine the impact of background variables on primary school students' competition performance. Similar studies from other countries were also reviewed. Arvutiteaduse instituutComputational thinking is an essential skill for people in the 21st century, and one way to teach it is by using tasks from the Bebras Informatics Challenge. As part of this bachelor’s thesis, a prototype of task cards was created to support the teaching of computational thinking and computer science without the use of computers. The cards were created for two age groups – Benjamins (grades 5–6) and Cadets (grades 7–8). They were introduced to teachers and students, and feedback was gathered to inform improvements. The responses indicated that both target groups were interested in using these task cards. Arvutiteaduse instituutThis bachelor's thesis aims to analyze the websites created as final projects of the University of Tartu course “Web Page Creation for Advanced Users” and to determine whether different language models are suitable for their evaluation. The evaluation was based on the criteria, made up of scientific literature. The theoretical part describes the course build, the importance of user interface, user experience, code writing in web development and gives an overview of artificial intelligence. The first step of the practical part gives the author's evaluation of the created prototypes of websites and the code of the final projects. While user interface and user experience can be considered satisfied, the quality of code is a bit more of a concern. The second step includes an investigation of different language models and their capabilities as of 20.02.2025 to evaluate the design based on screenshots. It turned out that DeepSeek and Copilot are not suitable for further investigation because of no possibility in evaluating screenshots. The final step of the practical part considerscomparison of author and language models evaluations. The study results showed that evaluations by Gemini 2.0 Flash and Gemini 2.5 Pro models did not significantly differ from the author’s ones. However, if the evaluation focused only on the user interface design, results by ChatGPT 4.5 and ChatGPT 4o, in addition to previously mentioned language models, did not significantly differ from the author's results. In the usability analysis, the ratings given by most language models, except for ChatGPT 4.5, statistically did not differ from the author ones. Arvutiteaduse instituutThe aim of the master's thesis was to create in the Moodle learning environment new learning materials on the topic of Cascading Style Sheets. The creation of learning materials was based on the revised ADDIE model, and following this model the survey was conducted among course participants in the analysis stage, the SCATE model was used in the design stage to build up the content and structure of the learning materials, in the development stage the materials of seven study weeks were created in the Moodle. In the implementation stage, the spring semester course participants had the opportunity to use the materials of two study weeks. To collect feedback about new materials, the survey and interviews were conducted. Based on respondents’ proposals, changes and additions were made to the learning materials. The survey revealed that 100% of the respondents rated the new materials better than the existing learning materials. To this end, the study examined homework assignments from the course “Multimedia” - a photo collage, poster, animation, and video editing project. The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between groups based on gender, field of study, or whether the course was mandatory. Arvutiteaduse instituutThe purpose of this master’s thesis was to update learning materials for course Web Page Creation for Advanced Users (LTAT.03.015). The first chapter of the thesis considers theoretical aspects. The ADDIE model was used as the framework for developing learning materials. In the subchapter about the principles of digital learning materials development, the usefulness of practical examples and the usage of a variety of tools was explained. The second chapter focuses on the process of updating learning materials. The phases of analysis, design, development, and evaluation are discussed. During the analysis phase, the feedback and conditions of the existing course were analysed, and the learning outcomes for each topic were formulated. In the design phase, the learning environment and the tools used were selected; it was decided to introduce the materials through practical examples, and to involve the learners to go through what they learn. During the development phase, the learning materials were updated, self-assessments were added, and assignments were prepared. After the learning materials were updated, a survey was conducted to evaluate these materials. The third chapter gives an assessment of the process of preparing the learning material.
