The aim of this master's thesis is to develop a conceptual framework for a web-based intermediary platform that connects parents with providers of tutoring and extracurricular education services for children. At present, there is no unified and reliable digital environment in Estonia that would allow parents to conveniently search for, compare, and book educational or developmental services for their children, as well as gain an overview of available municipal or state subsidies. An empirical target group study was conducted as part of the thesis, using surveys and interviews with both parents and service providers to identify needs and challenges. Based on the research results, the functional and non-functional requirements of the system were defined, user stories and acceptance criteria were developed, and user journeys and business processes were modelled using BPMN diagrams. Following a logical structural and navigational approach, an initial platform prototype was created using Figma software, with a focus on interface clarity and accessibility. The outcome is a multilayered and realistic prototype that can be further developed using modern web technologies. The platform's development is guided by the aim to improve user experience, streamline communication and booking processes, and support children’s educational and social development through better access to relevant services. This thesis provides a solid foundation for further system development and the implementation of an innovative solution in a socially significant domain.
