    The aim of this thesis is to develop a remote control system for a small-scale model car that operates within the Wi-Fi network of the University of Tartu’s Delta building and switches to autonomous control in case of connection interruptions. The solution is based on the DonkeyCar platform and consists of a web-based user interface and a vehicle-side application running on a Raspberry Pi. Real-time data exchange between the vehicle and the user is achieved via the WebSocket protocol, enabling smooth transmission of control commands and video feed. Tests were conducted on the third floor of the Delta building to evaluate the system’s reliability under multiple access point conditions. The results demonstrated that the developed system can reliably switch to autonomous mode during interruptions and is well-suited for exploring teleoperation and autonomy in a controlled environment.
