The relationship between internal communication and job satisfaction, the case of the National Heritage board. The main aim of the current bachelor’s thesis was to study the correlation between internal communication and job satisfaction in a public sector organization, the National Heritage Board. The research is founded on three methods, which are secondary analysis of a previous survey, deep interview and a survey of questionnaires. In case of questionnaires the author has used a correlation analysis to find correlations. To find correlations between internal communication and job satisfaction, the author examined the internal communication channels used in the organization. In the theoretical chapter the author has given an overview of theoretical principles and described the concepts that dissert: organization, intra-organizational communication, communication climate and other aspects associated to it, job satisfaction and attitudes and motivation supervened on it. In addition to different concepts the author tried to give a descriptive overview of the organization under observation. The author observed and described the organization and its internal communication primarily using theories of Vadi, Grunig, Pace and Faules, Vos and Schoemaker. In describing correlations between job satisfaction and internal communication the author used disquisitions by Robbins, Kamdron and Grunig & Hunt. The target audiences of the current bachelor’s thesis were all of the employees of the National Heritage Board. The basic data for the poll conducted by the author were gathered by an anonymous questionnaire uploaded into the Internet that concentrated on internal communication and job satisfaction. An interview was conducted over the Internet and its aim was to get the opinion of the communication expert of the organization, which helped the author to interpret the scores of the questionnaire. As a result of the research it can be stated that there are correlations between job satisfaction and internal communication. They exist between different information movement directions and other aspects that dissert communication channels and organization peculiarities. Main correlations between job satisfaction and internal communication can be considered, according to the results, contentment with the information system and vertical information movement, specifically the information moving from up downward, which disserts information about job vacancies and general information regarding the job arrangement. In addition to these there is correlation between receiving feedback and the necessity to appreciate employees.
