dc.description.abstractMotor insurance providers can think about collecting information about drivers’ behavior using telematics to get more accurate pricing. The goal of this thesis is to give an overview of usage-based insurance and the use of telematics variables in insurance modeling. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part gives background on telematics and usage-based insurance. The second part introduces generalized linear models suitable for modeling claim frequency. In the third part, analysis was done on specific vehicles and claims, with results and possible future steps given.en
