dc.description.abstractThe aim of this master’s thesis was to develop learning tasks and instructional materials for the use of CNC machines in lower and upper basic school levels and to evaluate their suitability for technology education. The theoretical part of the study addressed the use of CNC technology in education and its connection to digital competence and STEM integration. The study was conducted as a design-based research, during which learning materials were created and evaluated by three technology teachers. The results showed that the developed learning tasks were positively evaluated and are particularly suitable for upper basic school students. The materials were also found to support students’ interest, motivation, and development of practical skills. As a next step, the materials will be supplemented with video-based instructions and tested in a wider school context.
