Testing Estonian Scientific Computing Infrastructure Self-Service in Cypress Framework
Academic communities and research organisations are increasingly in need of powerful computational resources. In Estonia, scientists and researchers can use the ETAIS self-service portal to access computing and storage resources. To improve the user experience and the quality of the user interface, the mistakes made in the development of the software should be prevented from reaching the users. This can be done by finding the errors through testing. This thesis aims to extend the automatic test coverage for the ETAIS self-service portal. The thesis includes the introduction of ETAIS and the best practices of software testing. The architecture of the portal is documented, automatic integration tests are planned and executed using Cypress software. The results are presented, discussed and suggestions for further actions are given.
