Key words: young people, the Internet, interactive media use, content creation, grief, memorial videos The author in her bachelor work was looking for an explanation for a new and popular mourning way – creating memorial videos. The author wanted to know how these videos are made concentrating on the technical solution. She also wanted to know who create such videos. The author raised the main question as follows: whether and which myths occure amongst mourning youngsters on people who died and what can be read out from titles in mourning videos. The author brings out answers to survey questions and main conclusions as follows:  Mourning videos are made by a special program by youngsters and only knowledge given in schools and ability to use the Internet are needed. Materials needed are supposably gathered through popular Internet meeting sites (Rate.ee, Orkut.com, Facebook.com). Music, photos and titles are used to create videos.  Most mourning videos are made by friends or classmates of the person who passed away. Only two times the videos were created by relatives. Most creators were female, but there were also male creators, which means that this kind of mourning is suitable self-expressing way for boys also. However, the author of this works would like to express that boys start to use this kind of mourning in higher ages (supposedly starting from the age 15), which was discovered by observing the authors assumed age and gender while coding the videos (Kodeerimisjuhend, Lisa 1). The author also found out that the the authors of mourning videos were all assumably between 12-25 years old, most authors are between 16-22 years old.  The death of friends brings out myths – they start to praise the goner, in most videos the great personality of the dead one was brought up. Superlatives were used. Speculations were made that the goner has become an angel. Although the other myth that the author brought up in the theoretical part – the cause of the accident, was never discussed.  From the titles of mourning videos it could be assumed that while creating these videos, mourners are in the first phase of mourning. They deny the fact that their friend is dead and they believe that the goner can see these videos. In addition, it can be seen that some authors are looking for partners in mourning, because they turn to fellow mourners. Young people are not used to mourn, because usually they have not been in contact with mourning and thereby many slogans used in mourning, that they have heard from somewhere, like „Rest in peace“ were used.en
