dc.description.abstract | Religion and the United States government have a long history of conflict that is still a matter of debate today. The conflict between a woman’s body and laws regulating abortion has become one of the most controversial political topics in American society. The aim of this paper is to analyze Louise Erdrich’s Future Home of the Living God for elements of feminist dystopia and to demonstrate how it engages with the current political and religious tension regarding women’s rights and reproduction. The main purpose is to find out how Erdrich is able to create a dystopian world that closely reflects the current situation in the United States of America. | et |
