| dc.description | This philosophy thesis investigates how ethics manifest in human experiments across different age groups. It begins by exploring the general role of ethics in daily life, emphasizing its nuanced variation across age demographics. This variation is intricately linked to the evolving experiences and perspectives individuals undergo throughout their lifetimes. The thesis hypothesizes that ethical considerations in human experiments present distinct challenges across various age brackets and aims to scrutinize these ethical dimensions concerning children, adults, and the elderly. The discussion delves into the realm of clinical trial ethics, drawing from philosophical frameworks such as utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, and existentialism. Clinical trials, as rigorous research endeavors, are instrumental in advancing understanding and developing treatments for human health. Within this context, ethical principles of autonomy, non-maleficence, beneficence, and justice serve as guiding principles. Ensuring participant autonomy and informed consent emerges as a central ethical concern, particularly amidst the complexity of medical concepts. Despite these challenges, adherence to stringent ethical standards, transparency, and accountability remains imperative. | dc.description.abstract | Käesoleva filosoofia bakalaureusetöö eesmärk on uurida eetika rolli eri vanusegruppide inimeksperimentide läbiviimisel. Sissejuhatuses käsitlen üldist eetika rolli meie igapäevaelus ja selle varieerumist vanusegruppide lõikes. Mainides, et vanusest tulenevad inimeste eetilised erinevused on seotud inimeste kogemuste ja perspektiivide muutumisega eluetappide jooksul. Hüpotees väidab, et inimeksperimentide eetilisuse aspektiga arvestamine on suurem väljakutse, kui kaasatud on erinevad vanusegrupid. Töö keskendub nende eksperimentide eetilistele aspektidele laste, täiskasvanute ja eakate puhul. | |
