Abstrakt
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a set of supplementary action-oriented
learning materials for the I Love English 5 textbook to encourage meaningful communication,
cooperation and active participation in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom.
The study follows an action research methodology, involving the development, classroom
implementation, evaluation and revision of the created materials. Data were collected through
classroom observations, student feedback and teacher feedback. The findings are analyzed in
relation to their user-friendliness, to the effectiveness of the materials in promoting meaningful
communication, cooperation and active participation, as well as the challenges encountered
during implementation. The first chapter of the thesis reviews theoretical foundations of the
action-oriented approach. The second chapter presents the design and implementation of the
action-oriented learning materials, data collection methods and an analysis of data. The study
concludes with pedagogical recommendations for integrating action-oriented learning
materials into EFL teaching practice.
