Abstract
The point of this bachelor’s thesis is to explore the envelopes of family of curves and
curves characteristic points on the plane. In this thesis it has been studied enveloping
surface of family of spheres (cone of sound in the tail of aircraft), caustic of lighting the
inside of container, curved lines formed by characteristic points of spokes of wheel (for
example Pascal’s lima¸con in the spokes of bicycle’s wheel). The Result is miscellaneous
possible applications in interpretation of wave formation and shock waves.
