Abstrakt

The aim of this study was to explore current practices of music integration, as well as teachers’ attitudes towards it in a case study. Semi-structured interviews were conducted and qualitative data analysis methods were used. The study revealed that all teachers at that kindergarten integrated music into learning activities and are aware of its benefits. However, the frequency of integration depends on factors such as teachers’ experience, musical abilities, children’s age and special needs, the work environment and educational background. Music was frequently integrated with language, speech and the environment, while integration with art, math and movement activities occurred less often. The findings also showed that digital screens are commonly used in music integration. The results of the study indicate that the kindergarten environment can influence the practices of integration.
