Future constructions with will, shall, and be going to in Terry Pratchett’s novel Guards! Guards! and their Estonian translations

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis analyses how future is expressed in English and Estonian. This analysis is based on comparing the English book Guards! Guards! by Terry Pratchett and its Estonian translation Vahid! Vahid!. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to find out how the meanings of the English verb constructions will, shall, and be going to are conveyed in the Estonian language.
