Automaatse sünkroontõlke katsetamine ja optimeerimine inglise-eesti keele näitel

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the testing and evaluation of English-Estonian simultaneous translation models. Six wait-k models were trained on three different k-values and two different datasets, along with one sequence-to-sequence model on each dataset. The study demonstrated that it is possible to perform automatic simultaneous translation into Estonian using the wait-k model. It was found that wait-k is not inferior to the traditional sequence-to-sequence model, is fast enough for real-time use, but slower when there is less training data.
