dc.descriptionThe Image of Eesti Pank: Comparison of the Images of Journalists and the Leaders of Eesti Pank The aim of the current thesis was to find out the image of Eesti Pank among journalists and to compare it with the image of the leaders of Eesti Pank. The paper consists of four chapters. The first chapter gives an overview of theoratical basis to the concept of image and also to few other concepts related to image. The second chapter explains the choice of method and the selection of respondents. The results of the research and the comparison of the images of journalists and the leaders of Eesti Pank are presented in the third chapter. The last chapter lists main conclusions and presents the discussion. The main research problem were: what kind of image Eesti Pank have? Supporting questions to the main research problem are divided into two groups: research questions for the journalists and for the leaders of Eesti Pank. The study methods for the empirical part are semi-structured interviews (with journalists) and semi-structured expert interviews (with the leaders of Eesti Pank). Interviews revealed that the image of Eesti Pank is neutral among the journalists. The main reason for that is that Eesti Pank is not an attractive organisation among journalists. Whilst journalists have positive and negative stances towards Eesti Pank, the overall impression is neutral. The leaders of Eesti Pank wish to be more at the center of attention when it comes to financial system but they realize that the role of the central bank is to be conservative. The leaders of Eesti Pank wish that the roles and functions of Eesti Pank would be more understandable in its functions.en
