Creating, testing and evaluating personal, social and health Education – English CLIL lesson plans and materials for year 7 students

Abstract

This thesis explores the integration of Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and English through the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach in basic school education. Chapter 1 outlines the theoretical foundations of CLIL, focusing on language development and cross-curricular learning. Chapter 2 describes the qualitative case study design and the development of five CLIL lesson plans for Year 7 students. Chapter 3 presents the implementation, data collection, and analysis of feedback from students and teachers. The findings indicate that CLIL supports engagement and content understanding but requires stronger support for productive language skills.
