Abstrakt
The aim of this work is to investigate how art teachers in secondary and tertiary schools in Harju County assess their perceived digital competence, readiness to use technology, and what the practices and challenges of implementing digital tools are in everyday work, describing the results obtained using the qualitative content data analysis method. As a result of the study, the perceived level of digital competence was assessed as very good or good. Digital tools are a supporting factor in artistic creation, so it is not recommended to increase the proportion of digital tools used. The digital tools used are Canva, slides, the use of various free platforms and applications, and phones. Similar teaching methods and tools in use indicate that the proportion of digital competences plays an important supporting role in art education. The biggest reason for the low level of digital competences was identified as time constraints and a lack of tools and equipment.
