Abstract

This research aims to categorize the lacquers used in the 19th century, based oncontemporary literary sources. The objective is to identify alcohol-based lacquers suitable forlight-colored wood species from the most prevalent categories of alcohol-based lacquers.Furthermore, the current study investigates the technological characteristics of applying andprocessing these lacquers. Polishes and furniture finishing waxes are excluded from the scopeof this study
